When I put a PAYG sim into the 6310i I used to have on contract with T-Mob is says 'Security Code'. I have tried the usual 12345 but is doesn't like it. I have run the code unlocker and it says that the phone is not restricted.
How can I default the Security code?
Hope someone can help.
Cheers, JohnO.

This software will allow you to reset the code to 12345 with a datacable.

HI, thanks for the response - the software seems to want MSCOMM.
I have tried this on XP Pro and and old Win98 machine and no joy - do I need more modules? I have just seen another of your post referring to Visual Basic 6 - I'll hunt for the runtimes.
I only have a data cable for the 6310 - do I need a 'special' cable?
I have load VB6SP5 runtime and still no job withe the FBUS.EXE program you posted. I'm looking for even more help.
Cheers.

Thanks...The software runs apparently fine. When I connect DLR-3P cable and mains adapter I get 'ERROR: Phone does not answer!' when I click reset security code.
------------- From Help ---------------
Solution 1:
1.Connect charger to phone, with battery & MBus cable
2.Contact Service is show, power off phone!
3.Phone gets in changing mode (retry if not)
Press Unlock!

Solution 2:
Connect Btemp (pin next to GND pin on battery) to
GND, turn ON phone and phone will be in Test mode.
Or connect BSI (pin next to "+" pin on battery) to
GND, turn ON phone and phone will be in Local mode.

Dlr3 is a MODEM cable,so u will need a DATA cable for playing with MBUS and FBUS commands.Usually data cables come with AUTO FBUS/MBUS switcher, but u can find also with MANULA FBUS/MBUS switcher. Both are same.

My firmware is:
V 5.22
15-11-02
NPL-1
(c) NMP
Will a cable clear the above security code? Suggestions for a cost effective supplier - I'll only need it once.

If I get a proper cable will it work with my firmware level?
Where would you recommend a cable for just the one use? I don't want to spend a fortune for a single use.
Cheers.
