Help! I can't mod anything without it going wrong :(

Hello,
I have a 7110 with software version 5.01. Whenever I try to mod a flash file (for example removing a language or changing the message tone, or editing a menu graphic) and then flash this to the phone weird things happen:

Usually the phone boots, and the tone/menu graphics are working ok but the phone has no signal and then restarts. It keeps restarting every few seconds. I have tried correcting all checksums and setting the faid but no luck :(
Does anyone reckon they have the solution?
This sounds like a very common problem but only happens when I have modded a flash file, otherwise I can flash a standered fls just fine.

After you correct all Checks and Fixes of the flash it again. But you have to Flash the Eeprom v5.01 the same as MCU and PPM again....

Hi,

To succeed Faid update after modifications:
1. Recalc the mcu check in nFree1.2
2. Recalc the ppm and flash checks in ppm manager.
3. Flash & set faid.

Golden rule:
Always use only mcu+ppm files.

Forget easy mods on 3310-503/513 & 3330-430/450.

That should work.
