There are the BL-4C and BL-5C batteries:
BL-4C for Nokia 6100 and 7200
BL-5C for 3100, 6600 and N-Gage
(Note, if your phone isn't listed ... its because I do not know what battery your phone uses)
What's the difference between the BL-4C and BL-5C? Can I use the BL-4C battery into my N-Gage, which uses BL-5C?

well, i forgot which one is thicker, haf u got both to see the difference?
if 4c is the thinner one, u need to place a paper to hold it in place or sth. check if both the fones' batt voltage are the same.

BL-4C is thinner.
BL-4C and BL-5C are both 3.7 V
Guess I can use both?
Wouldn't the battery be held together without the paper? Just wondering. And thanks for answering the question tzeonn :D

For your information then, the Nokia 5100 also uses the Nokia 3.7V BL-4C internal battery. So the 4C is the thinner one? Are you sure? I always thought the 5C was... The phones that use either of these batteries should be interchangable with the two types, even without using a peice of paper!

Yes. The BL-4C is definitely smaller than the BL-5C by 1mm in thickness. However, I read the specs of both BL-4C and BL-5C, and BL-5C has a better mAh ... which means length of battery power.

Yes, BL-4C is the thinner one. My son's N-Gage (BL-5C) always ran out of juice from playing MP3 music and he will take his mom's 6100 battery (BL-4C). I will not let him have my 6600 BL-5C as I am also low on battery with running all these applications.
My wife can still use the BL-5C but cannot close her phone back cover. So I believe both are interchangeable.

My BL-5C is always out of 'juice' (love that term chimpanzee!) from overload of Red Faction, Splinter Cell and MP3 Music.
Now I have:
1 x BL-5C Battery in the N-Gage
2 x BL-5C Batteries as spare/backup
1 x BL-4C Battery as spare, might get a phone that uses BL-4C?
Peace out! :-P

I guess it's then a call of weather you want smaller and possiably lighter battery, or larger, possiably heavier, longer lasting battery...
Also, as chimpanzee pointed out, phones that come with a BL-4C battery can't use a BL5C battery as the covers may not fit back on...

All i know is that BL-4C fits in 5100, 6100 and 7200 (not released yet)
I'm just wondering what other phones it fits in (that are non BL-5C)
Nokia 7200 seems attractive ... I might wanna have a closer look :D
