Hello,

My 9210i Commnicator is having problems and I was thinking of giving it away for repair from authorized repair center. It shows no signal when the antenna is closed away and 2 bars when it is open. I can't really keep the antenna open at all times.

I'm afraid that I may lose all my data if I give it for repair so I want to backup important things. Most importantly, I want to backup all telephone contacts and restore them back onto the communicator after the repair.

I'm using the Communicator Suite to backup the C:\ of the communicator. Will this backup the telephone contacts directory as well? It says something like "Synchronise your Contacts with your PC" and asks me for an application to exports the contacts to. I just want to backup the contacts and use them with the communicator again later.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you use the communicator suite to backup your commy, then yes it will backup everything including your contacts. If you want to make sure, what you can do it copy the contacts.cdb file from c:\system\data to your pc to make sure. BUT the data suite does backup your contacts.
