Had my 6600 a week. Not overally impressed to be honest. Came from 8310 so finding 6600 big.
One thing that annoys me is that whenever I get an sms, it doesn't say who it's from, just the sender's number. You can't always tell who it's from purely from the content of the sms. I had to remember last 3 digits of the number and mess on going into contacts and searching all the numbers, which is also crap because the phone doesn't seem to display names and numbers, just names. I have to look at each name and number individually.

Is there any way around this? Appreciate any help.

BTW, also, the phone doesn't play the Nokia load up tune when switching on, just like 2 notes from it.

Chris.

Chris you need to copy your contacts from SIM to phone. The contacts are always looked up on the phone memory only. SO although you have the contacts on your SIM the 6600 doesn't recognise it unless you copy to phone memory.

Hope this helps then you should also get the details info and names on all txts received ans sent in your logs etc.

Chris.

use smart vcard and create a back up of ur ur database using export into ur phones root dir, then send it to ur pc using feexplorer and rename it as a doc instead of vcf use the option find and replace get it to find CELL:0 AND REPLACE WITH CELL:0044 this is a pain save as a txt file and then rename it to vcf resend to ur phone it will be in ur inbox use feexplorer to put back into ur root dir, delete ur original database and re import the new altered database and it will work because all the numbers have the 0044 prefix

you could try storing your numbers in the international format +44
