Unisoft everytime for me too....most stable flasher for GX, pity its such a large download!

u can get one of the exe file in unisoft dir (hidden files) and some of them will be the flasher. should be the cootcode and one xx.exe where xx is the number of the flasher. press ctrl+alt+delete and go to taskbar and check the exe name. just steal it ;)

well if u remember me, i can do it myself and post both flashers of gx10/gx10i/gx20

whats a flasher and what does flashing the phone do?

A flasher is a piece of software or hardware which will rewrite the software contained in a phone. Many errors are corrected by flashing a phone, some are not.

A good flash set up consists of a Cable, sometimes a flasher box, Firmware for your phone and software interface to piece it all together. Couple this with an experienced technician and you have a good base for repairing or modifying phones.
Many of the earlier Nokia's could only be unlocked via flashing, but flashing nowadays is primarily used to correct checksum and bugs or simply to update a phones software.
If used in the wrong hands a flasher will kill your phone, this is not a myth, its reality!
Which is where we come into it, if you are to attempt flashing, please use these forums for the BEST advice as most of us have flashed 100's of phones.

I have a sharp GX10i I need to unlock it to work on O2 but currently it is locked to vodaphone is there a way for me to unlock my phone to O2 and use o2mms services on this new phone?

i can use gx10i flash my phone -gx20n(made in china) ,but why cann't it read my phone'program??? could you seng me the flash for gx 10 ?please help me !! thanks in advance !!

Where can i download unisoft 2004 flasher..or wont it help, my gx20 wont boot up it just flashes on and off

Did you charge the battery fully before flashing?

If all else fails you can remove the back up battery inside the phone, which will reset everything. Remove this for a couple of minutes, then re-insert.
Your phone should now boot up ok!

sorry if i have posted in the wrong thread
:-? i have had the same problem as parot
recieved a gx20 which i thought was dead!!!used unisoft and gx20 flash (thanks to crux2002)
flashed the phone ok,got crc (cant remember the digits)ok
but the phone wouldn't power on,removed the backup battery as suggested by jac.
but left it out for 24hrs..still wont power up...someone suggested that it may
be an internal fuse problem ?? ..but i cant verify that as im not sure where it is.. :-?

can anyone post or e-mail a diagram..

Sorry if I am in the wrong place, but maybe somebody can help me.

I bought a clip for Sharp GX10's & GX1's a while ago. Only thing is, it did not come with instructions and I used it on the GX1 the other night to reset it and I dont know what sequence I used, but I now have a GX1 which when switched on, has a blinking white screen and nothing else!!!

Is there anything I can do using the clip???? If not, is a flash my only solution?
