I've got a Contact service but...

Hi to all members of the board.
I've a strange problem. My 3310 show "Contact service",
didn't switch off and didn't charge the battery.

But the big problem is that it communicate badly via Mbus.
Just one time on four or five retryes make some results.

What I was able to see is that it shows all 65 as IMEI
and a lot of strage data. I made a test with EepromTools
and results are all Ok but:

MCU Eeprom Interface : Failed
Eeprom Tune Checksum: Failed.

It seems to me that Eeprom is "emulated" on 3310, I'm wrong?
So why test fails?

Have you tried reflashing the phone yet?

I would try this as a starting point
About the mbus, the mbus comminications sometimes dont work when the phone is in 'contact service' mode this could be the reason for this

I would start by flashing the phone with either old or new sw and a virgin eeprom
The other option is to read the flash off the phone and then correct all checksums using the nfree v1.2 (this does eeprom checks aswell)

then reflash it to your mobile and post results

Installing PortTalk2.2 instead of UserPort I was able to obtain a lot of results. Rolis flasher now works. I flashed a new software (6.33) but problems remains (I didn't try with a virgin eprom yet) . I try flashing MADos and run his tests. I obtain CCont fails.
What does this mean?

EDIT: CCont test fails only if charger is connected to phone.

I wouldn't worry about the ccont fail when charger is plugged in as that always happens ;)

Flash a new flash with this virgin eeprom I have attached
you need to flash it to 0x3D0000 you can also select 3310 in the rollis menu to automatically input that address

I also use the porttalk driver and allowIO to run my stuff on XP but I also have win98 on my machine for my modding software :-P

Try using another Mbus cable with nokia tool by jordik and do the following steps after flashing.

change IMEI
update Faid
Special factory settings except UI
update faid
Clear Locks
update faid
reset software

works 100%

The key was not use UserPort but AllowIo.

Now that I'm sure that software and hardware works it's time to play with MADos.
