Are you trying to use a sim from a different service provider to the one on which the phone is locked?

e.g T-mobile sim in Vodaphone locked phone.

i am having the same problem..i have just bought a Motorola V525 off ebay and i think it is locked to vodaphone.and i want to use my o2 sim in it..what do i need to do to unlock it..
