Hi,
Weird problem. I decided to format my 6600 mmc since it had a lot of crappy 'DEFAULT' imaging software on it... Anyway... the card formatted fine but now the applications that were on the mmc have left blank icons where the orignal icons were. These icons are basically space holders for the apps i deleted. Now problem is that the apps are gone but these icons are left behind. When i click em, nothing happens(OBVIOUSLY!) but I can't delete them. When i highlight the icon and press 'C' it says 'Unable to delete'!
Help would be appreciated as always :)
Ciao

Thats probely becouse you have to remove apps/games from the phone itself.
these icons are still in your phonememory i think

Tut tut, you've formatted the card without first unistalling them from the phone I reckon. Maybe try remembering a couple of the programs, installing them, then uninstalling them might get rid of the blank icons

intstall Fexplorer , go into C:\ or E:\system\apps\ delete the folder which is applicable , and the icon will be gone .

Do what everyone has recommended you to do. But afterwards, re-start the phone a few times.

That works for me usually. But I always remove the apps first before formatting.

Install FExplorer instead. Its great, fast and free!

This situation isn't really a rookie question. It's just like uninstalling programs off your computer, but the icons still appear on the desktop.

We aren't good at everything, and we certainly don't know EVERYTHING ...
