hello, i just got a 5100 for my girlfriend, and i just noticed something. according to the specifications and people here, my phone (6100) and her new phone (5100) have the same screen; however, when i was uploading some pictures to her phone that i also have on mine i noticed that the quality was better on her phone.

the pictures seem sharper and a bit more alive, and also the "menu" and "names" seem to be of a better color... the graphics on the menus also look better.

is there some sort of degradation of quality after a while? does the screen die out slowly after a while? or has the 5100 a better screen than my 6100? does anyone notice this too?

it is possible that 5100 has a better screen than 6100, like 3300 has a better screen than other series 40 phones, even though they all have the same resolution.

more than that, someone from another forum said he has two 3100's, bought on the same time and from the same provider, and the screens have a difference (one was darker or something). when he asked the provider they said that two phones are not always completely identical, and they might be different in things like this. don't know how true it is, but it might be.

--edit--
about the "menu" and "names".. it can be a change in the firmware, not necessarily have something to do with the screen.

thank you for your answer. now that i think about it, it is possible that the screens are different.
