View Full Version : nokia 3310 -->3315 conversion..newbie wants help

hey guys ...i need some help here . i have a nokia 3310 v4.45 and want to convert it to a nokia 3315 v.5.45 . the problem is i only possess a data cable and not a flash cable . i want to know if it is possible to upgrade the firmware to 3315 using the data cable only ? if it is possible ..could ya plz gimme the list of software required and the detalied faq ..and step by step procedure of doing it ...i know this is asking for a lot from u guys ...but will someone be kind enuough to help me here .thanks :o)

A flasher cable is too expansive??? :confused:

you cant upgrade ur 3310 to 3315 with data cable alone, u will just need it after flashing a 3315 firmware so.... u need to buy a flasher cable first.

:o why dont build a flasher cable. If you have a data cable cut the cable and make a connector for data cable and flasher cable. Flasher circuit is very cheap. Since only one IC(74HC14) is used.
Many flasher circuit are available on the net but some of does not work. So, be careful in choosing a flasher circuit.

Here is a flasher circuit. Working 100% to knoks and other software. TY to reverse engg and i build this circuit of mine.:grin: :grin: :rolleyes: :o

I was built a m2bus/fbus cable for my original 3330... but really difficult to adapt that on it... because, U should remove the batery to connect the cable... It's really hardcore... I was destruct my 3330... Now I was obliged to paid 230€ for it... sniff... :mad:


After, I bought a new phone (3310) and Dejan and M2BUS/FBUS commercial's cables... And It's not really expansive...

Personal's cables are good to use on 3210... but not on 3310, and other newest phones... REALLY DIFFICULT...

could someone plz give me the detailes schematics and pinouts of a flasher cable for the 3310 . can i use my data cable and make a dual flasher cum data cable out of it ?is this possible ?plz give me the list of ic's required and the connections . thanks a million !!
