N-gage 2 For N-gage 1 Trade In

hey guys im just here lettin you all know that there has been a fair nit of talk lately about nokia officialy dropping the n-gage 1 project and movin onto a n-gage 2... this has sparked a big stirr amongst my community and r8cer has started a petition to hopefully get nokia to release a trade in deal or some such thing to tide us loyal gagers over so we dont have to fork out another 500 bucks for the new one. please head on over and sign it everyone cause this is really crap how nokia can just ditch us all like that, we stood by the gage and we shouldnt have to pay for their mistakes. please follow this link and sign the petition and keep this thread alive so other can see it also.

it isnt released but nokia have stated that they are dropping the gage 1 to work on gage 2, so we all bought a dud basicaly.

How do we know the innards of the ngage2 will be any different from ngage 1?

For all we know it's just a cosmetic redesign - the geezer behind doom mentioned you could hear out of the normal way as well as the side. Could just be a bit of a button relocation.

personally, i tink its ridiculous u want to sign a petition to let nokia trade our ngage 1 for a ngage 2. ngage 2 is not confirmed yet. even if it comes out then, u can either sell ur fone, pay a bit more for ngage 2, or juz forget bout upgrading.

wat u r suggesting is that i got windows 98, sec edition comes out, and we shld all get free upgrades?

yup, nokia will piss us off if ngage 2 comes out, but then again, if u followed nokia long enough, u'd haf known tis would haf happen. look at all the 'i' fone models.

yeah i agree, its like getting all the 6600 owners to sign a petition so they can get a trade in on the 7610 when it comes out. basically the same for every fone thats ever come out. hell, i should have petitioned when the 3330 came out when id bought a 3310

If it's so official, why doesn't N-Gage.com mention anything about it? I did a search on N-Gage.com and came to this:

I think the idea of the N-Gage 2 is absurd. It's to soon. They should at least wait a year or 2. Can't they just make new firmware? Or are the intentions just upgrading hardware? If so, they should concider longer battery capacity, Secure Digital Media Card compatible (very fast and up to 1GB!), faster processor (300mhz would be nice ^_^), more stability, bugfixer for sis files!!!, larger internal memory (at least 8mb) and it should support skins like the 6600. So.. To conclude this, just make a tiny version of a 5 year old PC with modern features! :D
