7110 Slider not functioning

Hi all,

I am new to this forum but would greatly appreciate some help. I just bought a 7110 cause I always wanted one and while the slide was down I pressed the sliver button on the back. I hear a clicking sound and that was it. Now I can used the phone only when I pull the slide down manually. Can I fix this or is it common and easily fixed? Please help!!

i suspect you may have dislodged a small spring that is housed on one of the sides of the "flip"

If the 7110 is not new, it might be that some dirt accumulated in the slide. You should be able to slide the face off with you little finger without any effort.

I also got some really annoying problem.

When I got my 7110 (I Love the phone), the slider worked (if I pushed the button it would come down at least 90% of what it should) but it didn't answer the call, as expected. Neither did close it If I closed the slider.

Trying to fix it, I've managed to do 2 things.

1st. The slider now has to come down manually as the button won't work anymore.

2nd. Some times the Navi-Roller wont work, but I guess this is a problem os misalignment.

Can someone help me with this?

ok let mee see if i can help you out

1st ....
you wiil have to open the fone and check if the spring of the flip is proply in place and see if botton it hooked up correctly
2dd..
the NAVI roller must clean contacts with a normal Pencil RUBBER
and ess if it is place correctly
3rd...
you will have to mount fone again with the FILP open and all will be ok
