Hi all.
I had install a lot of application in my n-gage and delete and add a lot of files.
Formatting the MMC is simple.....but.....is it possible format the n-gage (symbian) and re-install the simbyan OS or something like "RESET" ?
Now the software is too slow, probably because i have a lot of shit inside the phone.
Anyone can help me?

I know...my english is very bad.......

I think the reset code is *#7370# or something like that. It restores your phone to factory settings and it will delete all of your contacts, so back them up before you do so.

yup, 1 by 1.

6600 is better, can be moved all at once.

Yeah, I didn't think that there was a copy all function.

I use a program called smartvcard from www.symbianware.com. This will allow you to backup and restore contacts in the generic vcf format that the MS Address book and Outlook can handle.

PC Suite may also be an option if you have BT?

you can copy all names to your sim card in one go:

while in the phonebook go to Options > Copy to SIM direct.
in the next menu pick "All"...

that should do it.. it works on my 6600.. same thing basically.. only problem with this method is that if you have people with more than one number, the number gets split up...

Sorry, dont have that option on the n-gage. What I do is backup all contacts onto outlook through nokia suite. You can do that all in one swoop.

*#7370# is a software format
*#7780# is a "restore to original factory settings"

If you have sTools and a file manager, get your fone into Flight Mode and browse to C:\System\Data and copy the contacts.db to your MMC. Then do the *#7370# to format your fone (make sure nothing goes wrong. Fully charge your battery and keep the fone in the charger because it will be useless if the process fails).

After you have formatted, install sTools and open your fone in Flight Mode again. Copy the contacts.db from your MMC back to C:\System\Data and overwrite the existing one. Then open your fone like usual.

Works for me (3650) and so I presume it should work for N-GAGE also.
