problems with 1100b

I have one brand new phone that It can't power on,
I supossed that this has a software problem, and I want to re-flash, I have griffin but I don't have the flash file.

Does anybody has the flash for nk 1100b, rh-36??.

I'm from Capital, if you're here, and you have the hard and the soft, i guess you can copy the flash file from my phone. Be sure that the phone is not blocked. And, well, i guess that you could ask for the warranty, if it's a brand new one, they should give you a working one. And, maybe you can get a new flash for free. But, if you can't for any reason, you can copy the flash from my phone.

Do you have the hard? really?

I have griffin and neelix II, but I don't know how can I read the flash from one DCT4 phone, probably the best solution is downloading the 1100b flash from any site on the net, but I don't know from where?

Do u have this file? (rh-36). or u know the correct link.

i would try at www.gsm-sofware.net. Register at the site so you can get access to all the database. Be careful with the flash file that you might get, because you can kill the phone. I guess you can find it there... while you try to find the file there, i'll try to search somewhere else, because nokias 1100 are not so common phones here. Most people in Argentina stays in the TDMA tech, so there are not so many GSM phones sold, and among them the 1100 is not a so well known phone.

Which frequency does your provider use there? and, do they sell SIM cards alone? I'm asking this because in Argentina, for example,there are three companies providing GSM services, all of them sell the phones locked, and only one of them sell the SIM card alone. The other twos only sells the SIM cards if you buy a phone... fuckin' monopolist politics... oh, and by the way, all the mobile handsets companies (nokia, motorola, siemens, etc.).. only sell GSM phones through the service providers, so you can't get an unlocked phone no way you try... Its unbelievable.

Where did you get the griffin? did you do it yourself, or you bought it?

In my country the phones works at 1900mhz, and usually this phones comes here from, Chile (entelpcs and Telefonica), I have the original griffin and I can't register in the gsm-software.net page.

What do you mean by saying that you can't register there?

let's see if i can... I'll search for the file. Just give me a couple of days, you know, until tuesday, when a friend of mine can help me to search for the file while i'm at the university. He got internet cable on his work, so he can look better than me.

I would say that it'll be also helpful if you post a message on the Flashing section of the DCT4 section. I guess there you could hope for a better answer. maybe somebody already has the file, and therefore you can flash your phone sooner. Maybe there you can get the file faster than posting only here.

Anyways, I'll keep looking, of course.

PS: I've been looking gsm-software.com. You don't need to register (btw you're right, the link to the register page is corrupted). Go directly to the download section, and there's plenty of software to flash the phone. But, probably, there's no RH-36 file. I don't have it.. but i bet that if you ask here in the flashing dct4 section how to get the flash file from a working phone (it's always done before flashing, you make a backup of the original flash, in case something goes wrong), and you can get a working 1100, you have the solution at hand.

It's just that, i don't get it... i knew that there were free updates from griffin, that's why I asked if he had made himself the griffin, or it was the original one, because i saw the the griffin comes with the rh 36.

Well, maybe he wants to explain a little more.
