Hmm...

Can anybody tell me if there is C35/i unlokcing/clashing software for XP? Apparently I end up with a spastic C35 everytime I try to unlock it in XP... I read elsewhere that there is a prgram that strictly requires Win98... *sigh*

... therefore I'm asking :)

Thanks,
-Dave

P.S. The Post where I read the info from: (http://www.gsmforum.host-boxcracker.net/vbb/showthread.php?threadid=46499)

for unlocking - all gsm phones - it is best u use win98se.
xp has a diffrent aproach/control on the com/lpt ports (build on nt platform), thats why u can't get it done.
98se is best for unlocking.:D although it's also unstable sometimes:Dand when it does - pray....:D:D:D

Hmm...

Not even with userport? I've only had problems with Siemens C35, Sony Z5 and... Alcatel 511... All other models have worked fine so far...

I don't have Second Edition, but I have normal 98, will that do?

Thanks,
-Dave

dont' know what to say about userport - but if u had problems it is clear that's not 100% working.
ofcourse 98 will work.
i use xp and 98se on same computer - different partitions: and so i keep the 98 system clean of any other .dll or key registries and i work with it only for unlocking.
if u need information about how to install both 98 and xp on the same computer reach me, u know how.

Hmm...

Dual Boot? That's easy ;)
Thanks for your efforts, I will install both OS on this comp.

Actually I haven't tried it with 98/NT(XP) only Windows 3.11/95.

Is there a program that does that automatically or do I have to do it the OLD way?

Thanks,
-Dave

u mean to change platform without restarting? i heard it is something like this - but i also heard that u need about 1000mb rram to use it:D

so - do it the old way:D install first win98, and then xp (98 does not have dual boot option, only xp has)

Hmm...

I meant at the prompt, first line in config.sys and autoexec.bat, you can have a menu in DOS before boot sequence to select the OS you want to boot in ;)

This was very popular when Windows 98 was released :)

Since I started using XP over 98/NT I haven't used DOS much... I used to use it all the time... (Anybody know the deltree command for XP? :))
