Upgrading Firmware Carphonewarehouse??

Carephonewarehouse require a proof of purchase to do free repairs on nokia 7250i's and other phones i was wondering if there is a way around this as i purchased my phone on ebay and would like to upgrade the firmware.

me 2 , i wonder if they sorted out the wallpaper bug in the new firmware, does anyone here work for nokia orsome other company that could flash my mobile, im in swansea.
