phonedudes are right,it is not difference with normal flasher that we can found on net.
the flasher i build also same like this ,but why it don't work. i think maybe the chip got some problem.

Didnt look pin for pin to see if its identical to the standard 'Dejan Flasher Schematic' but if you have built the dejan type and still having problems using KNOK,Rolis or Dejan prog then obviously you have something wrong because those definitely all work with DCT-3 phones, no problem.

Manipulator,

the only difference is in DB25 pin19-25 is connected to ground.
the other circuit on the net not specify this connection.

i think my problem is with the chip.i can't find 74HC14 so i use 74LS14,but it don't work.i think some ppl also tested using 74LS14 to build but also don't work.
any one has successfull build flasher with 74LS14 and work.

To Manipulator:

Yes i used 74LS14 and it's working very well but you must use external power. Some PC has low power at LPT port and flasher doesn't work. Remove two 1N4148 and add external 5V from regulated supply....

Best Regards...

i built the flasher using 74LS14 without using Ext power, the flasher dont work, after i change the ic to 74HC14 it work fine.
you just need to find one 74HC14.

my cable flasher this fact with 74ls14 and it works the only difference perfectly among the buffer 74ls14 to 74 hc14 it is that it is but slow but both complete the same work.
it is important that you use a source of external feeding at 5volts, already that not all the ports rs232 lpts of the computers provide good feeding.
  :-D :)

I have downloaded and followed everything that you have said in this forum but still no progress. Can i have the schematics where to place the external supply?can i use 4 rechargeable 1.2V dc supply? :-?

You could use one from the USB!
They all run on 5v or just over
they use them in dct4 flashers for the external supply!

I wouldn't use batteries they run down quickly and so can be damaging to your phone!

Hello! Can I use 74c14 ic because i couldnt find the 74hc14. thanks :)

The 74HC14 is a high speed version of the 74c14
It is not possible to use the slower version due to the speeds needed for flashing
Try farnell you should find it there

I am very interested in building a flasher cable, I have a data cable (9 pin com port type) but it goes straight to phone connector with no PS2 connectors inbetween.

I want to use your schematic but am unsure which output on the schematic goes to which pin on the phone connector...

Can someone please advise :-?

Thanks!

look for gsm pinouts by bruce.
there it will guide you even to the ps/2 connector

Just some info regarding the ls/hct/hc confusion earlier in this thread..

The 74LS (low-power schottky) family uses TTL (transistor transistor logic)
circuitry which is fast but requires more power that later families

The 74HC family has high speed CMOS circuitry, combining the speed of TTL
with the low power consumption of the CMOS 4000 series

The 74HCT family is a special version of the 74HC, with 74LS TTL-compatible
inputs so 74HCT can safely be mixed with 74LS in the same system

Basically the 74HC family is the best choice for most projects..
