Ok in india we have 2 types of connections for mobile phones.
1. Gprs that allows you to access only wap sites
2. Gprs that allows you to full internet access meaning you can view any site not only wap!
The 1st is cheap, the 2nd... NOT!
I obviously have the 1st (not that i'm cheap :D) but today i visited my own homepage, precisionart.net using the default browser and it loaded parts of the images on my index page then the default browser gave an error and shut down.
Thats wat got me thinking! I shouldnt have been able to see anything since my index was in html not wml so howcome i did.... theres gotta be some way to access full internet even over regular wap GPRS.
Bring in the thots boys!!!!!!!! :)

as long as you know what that access point is called then you could try Netfront. i have it and is very cool. you can choose what access point to use, whether to display pictures or not, word wrap so the pages fit the width of the screen or just normal full sized mode where you scroll in both directions (horizontal and vertical) etc etc. try it and see if you like it

it might be all over the place because youve got it on the "just fit" setting??? try putting it to full screen or somethin so you have a vertical and horizontal scroll bar. any web page i view looks fine

yup there are settings .... and i think hutch and orange have a common settings.

go to connection Settings and Access Points

Select the GPRS one and go to Advanced Settings

in the Proxy Server Address put 10.10.1.100

and in Proxy Port no. 9401

do the same with MMS one.

and also in opera go to settings and enable Proxy and put the HTTP Proxy host as 10.10.1.100 and HTTP Proxy Port as 9401

hope this works for u.

I am a Hutch user in delhi. I have 3650. My problem is that i am able to use only browser that is originally provided by Nokia & that sucks !! I am unable to use Dorris, Netfront or Opera even with the above settings. I have got my GPRS activated. Also can I access pop mails with this connection ?
