ASIC Numbers which phone is which????

[GSM Super Star]

When unlocking a Phone via Code my unlocker gives me the option to use:

ASIC 2
ASIC 5
ASIC 7

I was wondering if there is a list anywhere to tell me which phone is which. Also does it apply to DCT3 and DCT4

asic 6 (impossible to calc at the moment): 6230
asic 5: 7650, 3650, 6600, N-Gage
asic 2: all others.

the asic types are only for dct4.

there are no rules for that.. both might work... but if you have tested v2 codes and they worked - use v2.

N-gage QD and 7610 for instance?

The previous "classification" are pretty logical (symbian = 5, UMTS = 7). But 6230 seems to have changed algorithm just to prevent us unlock them... So maybe these will also use Asic6 or something new?

6230 uses asic 6, but i believe that 7700 and the new symbians will be asic 7.

6230 is a new series 40 phone, so my guess is that new series 60 will be asic 7, and new series 40 will be asic 6.

..that just my guess though....we can't be sure...

Wasnt talking about asic 2 but V2 as in settings V1, V2, Old griffin, New griffin, griffin clip, Prodigy or Original. Please read the post properly before commenting :-x
