I have a brand new 1100 here that has been working great so far. Last night I received an SMS that I cannot read or delete! It just sits there in the inbox and won't go away. Now, everytime I receive a new message, it says I have 2 messages because of the mysterious message sitting in there.
Are there any reset codes or some way of removing this annoying message and what is the cause of it?
Thanks,
Rex.

Hi!
If this message saved on SIM card try to insert SIM card to other phone and delete it. Or if it saved on phone memory try to go to "Messages" -> Text messages" -> "Delete messages" -> "Delete all" (Maybe the way was wrong because I have 3200, but most of models have this option)
Or try to reset factory settings.
GoodLuck!!!

this message reminds me the bug that was in dct3 33xx phones. it was a message with some chars that the phone can't open and can't delete.. similar to this one..
first try to delete it from the simcard using another phone. if you can - this is probably the same bug..

Hi!
I know a bug on Siemens with sms. If You send text with "English*" or something like this, it'll be the same problem!
:-P :-P :-P
yes. put the sim in another phone (not nokia) and delete that message.
btw the correct virus for siemens is "%English" just like i wrote. withe the "" and also caps E and %:
"%English"
it will crash some siemens. not all :D
