Probably just needs a new ringer or the contacts for the ringer are misaligned 33xx ringers are easy to change.
I would wait for a second opinion because it can be caused by other things.
Hope I helped a little bit lol :D

Does your dads phone say that it is ringing or does it just display missed call??
try ringing it for 20 - 30 seconds while you have your dads phone in your hand if it does dispaly the name of the person who is calling it (you) then I would say it is the ringer
if it just displays missed call after you hang up then I would try re-flashing the phones software
please post results,
regards,
Danny

Thanks guys but sometimes you can see the person who is callings name on the screen and sometimes it just comes up missed call after. As for flashing I do have any equipment and am an amatuer when it comes to phones,

Open phone..get a multimeter and measure the buzzer its a small thing in the back kover with two springs on it...must be 16Ohms...if not change it..
If yes maesure the resistance between pin 6 of user inteface chip / smal chip
on the back side of the PCB in the bottom under the shilds/ and upper pad of the buzzer..must be 0 Ohms...if not connect a wire between then-> solved..

Problem is in flash memory that screws up the eeprom part.
I've one in same condition and after flashing with MCU+PPM nothing happened but once i uploaded a virgin eeprom it started working ok again.
If you try to flash an eeprom to a phone with this problem using Rolis you'll get an error message saying that the response from phone was the wrong one. Only prog that overcomes it is Knok- just starts flashing where we ask to
BTW, the problem comes back after some time so the best to do is avoid letting it fall ;)

I dont know what the problem is but I know from my own difficults that a solution only in words is hard to understand so I attach a litle pic in here decoding in image what Sergo said.
I hope its correct.

@FearNoMore,
correct...but its easier to connect wire between pin 6 and upper pad on the PCB, not nececery to be to the buzzer..
Good luck!
