Do you like your joystick? Is it rigid and in position? Or is it wobbly and insecure like mine? Post the state of what your joystick is in!

And those of you who got your joystick fixed, what's it like?

I still have 9 months warranty on my phone, so I need a firmware upgrade and a joystick fix lol :-P

Well, at the early stages yes. Then I stopped due the joystick starting to loosen up.

Now it's getting worse. It's still usable, but starting to piss me off. I want a new one. I heard from someone from myseries60.net who got a new joystick, that the texture used was different and was better.

I guess I need a trip down to the NCC soon

Did anyone get a joystick fix for their 6600 from Nokia Care?

Is it covered under the 12 mths warranty? What's the fixed joystick like? The same or new texture or what?

...Post the state of what your joystick is in!...

The 6600's joystick is much better than 7650's. I still have my 2-year-old 7650 and its joystick is now very "sticky" to use, its outer rubber coating worn off and the white plastic portion is now visible. I did not bother replacing it since it will cost money, no more waranty after 2 years. The 6600's joystick is solid, black plastic with no rubber cover to wear-out. My 6600 is also aging now, got it last Sept 2003 and its joystick is still usable but it feels "squeky" (sounds like a rusted door hinge when I push the joystick). The keypad also starting to show wear, the green button is already erased. This May, I will go to NSC to avail the warranty for firmware upgrade and possibly joystick and keypad replacement.

mines workin fine till now i did think it went a lil loose but i guess its just my brain lol. i got a new 256mb mmc now and i havent put ne ngage games on it cuz i play a lot on it and my friends fuck the phone when they play so if u have ngage games ure at risk a lil with the 6600. other than that i dint think there was nething wrong with it. preety nice overall. since i dont have ne warranty i have to be extra careful or it will cost me .

Mine's seriously annoying me. It's so wobbly that sometimes I have to push the joystick a bit FURTHER to the left etc

I just want a new one, a fix. Seeing that its covered by warranty :)

The 6600's joystick is definitely up there with the elite of phone joysticks. I spilt a cup o' tea on it and it seized up a bit, its a top joystick cos' its recovered itself. the only drawback is that there is no rough surface for your thumb to grip, but i got used to it

Ehm.. The beer i spilt on it made it sticky:S So sometimes i have to push it back in the middle:(

Maybe it's just a matter of time before it gets back to normal, i hope so..
