Hello!
I have a choice between PQI 128 mb and Ridata 128mb, and don't know what to choose!! Advise, pls!

Also, my fone didn't come with any mmc, so can you tell me what folders i have to create, in order for the apps, tones, games and other stuff to work?
Thanx, Vic.

I've heard people saying that the PQI MMC Brand runs smooth. Buy that one I'd say

Format it on your phone. It will automatically create the folders for you.

PS: Are you using a Nokia 6600?

Nope, using 3650!
AND ANOTHER QUESTION: DO U THINK i SHOULD CHANGE MY 3650 ON MOTOROLA V 400, OR SOME OTHER PHONE BESIDES 6600??
oR IS IT STILL PRETTY GOOD??
Sorry for this big letters I messed up a little bit!
Thanx!

If you are desperate to change now ... I'd go for the 6600. If you can wait, you might want the 7610.

If you're in the US, you might want to consider the 6620.

Just thoughts. No influences

Yeah. the 7610 looks pretty good. I bet that it would cost an arm and a leg when it comes out too...

If I'm allowed and I have the money, I want the "O2 XDA II i-mate Windows Smartphone"

Only problem is that it sells for AUD$1099 on Ebay AU :-o

yeah i wouldnt mind the XDA II. my contract runs out in bout 3 months and i got the choice of the 6600 or the XDA II, which one do you guys think would be best.

i like the 6600 cos i really like symbian, such a cool thing to have on your phone and sooo customizable. but then, the XDA II has sooo many cool features like messenger as standard, 400mhz cpu and crap load of ram, not to mention its got an emulator for practically every games console out (except the latest ones i.e. ps2, xbox etc)

the fact that ill be able to play mario kart is makin me want the XDA II.

ahhhh, just dont know

yeah ive had a play on one and it is pretty amazing. i had a search for software for them and i didnt really find much except alot of emulators. its nothin compared to the ammount of software for s60. but still, there is like £170 difference in price :(

6600 - £105 currently
XDA II - £275 currently

cud both change in the next 3 months, i know when i bought my 3650 the price dropped about £50 to £75 in 2 month just before i bought it

well if you can try it before you buy it then see which work the best, if they both work fine go for the cheapest. as far as i know pretty much any brand and make work, except for that kingmax stuff was it the 256mb???

so its basically your own personal preference really

well seems like no one answering ur EXACT qn....here u go....

i used to have a PQI n it got corrupted. im not too sure about the other brand...
of coz if i were u, my take will be Ritek Ridata. (sounds like a dumb brand)

anyway, jus suggesting, y not get a 256MB one? u cant do mux with 128MB. if u r getting 256, get this brand called TLC. cheap and reliable. im using it for my 6600. used over 240MB liao... :-p

I am using 256M "Ridata" and it caused me so many probs on my N-gage!! (it's not compatible with 3650 as well) emm..may be it happens just 256M?

In my opinion, go for brand "NCP". I think it's the best one. The 256M one cause no problem in 3650 "FIRMWARE: 2.50"

hey, you said you phone didnt have any mmc when you bought it?!? is it brand new? well my friend if im not mistaken every simbian phone that nokia sells have a complementary mmc... where did you mmc go?!? :-o , you might want to ask you dealer about that! :D
and about the mmc i have a PQI mmc but mine is a 256mb and since i bought it i havent have any problem with it.. but the best thing is try the mmc if your phone would detect it, before buying the mmc.

That's right! and one more thing for N-gagers, if u haf chance dun forget to test the Mp3 function with the one above 128M as well (coz some brands were detected but have prob listenning to Mp3s, like when you quit the program it's said Mem card corrupted and you need to reboot) I knew two brand that do such a thing, Ridata and Apacer (both 256)
