Why you want to downgrade the software. 6510 have more features than 8310. On 6510 you can store up to 10 own ringging tones (8310 5 only) and wallet function that 8310 dont have...

I really dont understand what he want to covert 6510 to 8310.

i think he wants to convert his 6510-8310, i would prefer 6510 coz it has more feature than 8310, but if you just wanna play with ypur fone, convert it into 8310 coz it has better games

Yes you can convert 6510 to 8310. You just need to use an 8310 lcd assembly for you to be able to read the display as it will be inverted if you ue the 65's.

you can also flash the 6310 mcu ppm to the 6510. Try it and see.

Just use WinDCT4 with force flashing option. Then change LCD assembly to that of the 8310s.. and a-cover. You have converted your 6510 to 8310.

Where can i get the WinDCT4 software? And do i need dongles to do that? Or just the MBUS FBUS cable will do?

Although nokia 8310 can be converted to 6510, what for when 6510 is a better phone as compare to 8310.There is a extra funtion "wallet' in 6510........

Hey! guys! thanks because i started this thread 6510-8310 flash now you all sharing new ideas which lead to our new exploration in flashing modz for DCT4 model phones.

Mr. Hanukah, is it real that 6310 can be flashed to 6510 well that would be great to forumers and everybody will gonna start this new project and will end up to new more discovery and experimentation.

soz i know this is off topic but i have brocken the pins of my 8310 cable its the cable for the cheap flasher dongle and was wondering where i can get a replacement from?
Its Comport but opposite side as it just the pins not a solid block, hope u know what i mean.

I've seen in this topic a lot of arguing about which is better 8310 or 6510 but I haven´t seen any asseveration that 6510 software can be flashed to 8310. If it is possible then is it aslo nessesary to install the 6510 display to 8310?

Yes it is possible to run 6510 firmware on an 8310 and yes you must change the LCD for a 6510 because it is a higer res if you use the 8310 screen you will only be able to see part of the screen when using 6510 firmware.

Basically, 6500 flash = 8310 flash, no difference.

If you want to use 6500 flash, you need to change the LCD of your 6510 to 8310 and flash it with 8310 flash.

If you need the active-flip function in your 8310, you have to flash it with the V4.04 version.

This is the only version that to make your 8310 works like 6500 (ie with active-flip function)
