Hi!

I've got a problem, my 6600 has two broken pixel lines running from left to right.
So i went to a nokia service center (rotterdam) and they told me that they can't help me becouse my phone was locked with a t-mobile simlock and some t-mobile pre-installed shit. so the warranty is for t-mobile meaning that they have to fix my display. the problem is that i've removed the simlock and all warranty with t-mobile will be lost when you do this.
my question is if somebody knows how to put my t-mobile simlock back so when i give my phone to t-mobile they will repair it without cost (a new display cost 169 euro according to ncc)

much, much thanx to who ever can help me

verry wrong...

just go to someone that uses a griffin or prodigy and he will be able to relock your phone on t-mobile

also will be able to flash your phone with T-mobile coustumisation shit.

then you can go and claim warranty for the product.

An alternative -

I know on orange you could pay them £10 or something and the they would give you the "official" unlock code. T-mobile probably do the same.

If you then sent off your phone, it would show up on their records as being officially unlocked by them as so be under warrenty.

Just an idea. They could probably see through it in the engineering dept if you used a different level unlock code to they issued. But if you can get it through the admin beurocracy then the engineering ppl probably wont give a crap what youve done and fix it anyways

Thanx AlmostRandom and Alinus!

I've called T-mobile today and they said that a official unlock cost 200 euro, so even buying a new display would be cheaper.
But i've found a store that can put the simlock back for me for only 20 euro's so i'll go with that right after the release of the new dutch firmware.

Again many, many thanx! :)
