If I remember correctly the 3530 can only have 4 instruments playing at the same time. The Midi files that you have may exceed that 4 instrument limit...

Yes, 3530 has 4 instruments playing at the same time, but I don't think that this is reason.
When I had 3510i I uploaded better quality tones in it and they sounds not so great as on PC, but they worked!
So I think it's a tone problem! try to download tones from another site.
GoodLuck!

Don't worry, I'll convert those midi files for you. I've been converting midi files for a couple of months now, and through trial and error, have been successful enough to make them compatible with the 3510i/3530.

How do I send them to you? Through the forums? I don't have a site or wapsite.

They'll not be as great as the original midi file though as I'll cut down the size plus remove some extra instruments but I promise that they'll work. :)

Hey, I've converted all your tones already. I've tested them all in my 3510i so most likely, they would work on your 3530 due to the fact that they are one and the same.

I didn't convert hitchcock.mid already as it only uses one instrument.

Are attachments allowed here? If so, I'll attach the converted midi files already.

SteveHarris, I've sent 7 converted midi files to your email. (Doom, Duke Nukem, Ghostbusters, Star Wars Main Theme, Flintstones, Get Low, Tales from the Crypt) I didn't shorten the midi files so you could listen to them in full. I hope you have enough space in your phone.

I overlooked the jackass.mid earlier. I'll convert it soon if needed.

Enjoy! :)

I use PSMplay, and it usually takes me around 5-10 mins to convert a single midi file to a compatible one for the Nokia phone so it's easy to learn and use.

momagic: I don't think you need to turn the midi file into sp-midi. I never even knew that there was such a midi file type. I believe I use the same PSMplay as you all do. I will join your group though. :)

steveharris: Don't worry about it. Hope your WAP works anytime soon.
