If you restart the pda then you should be able to access this message from pda side. Don't worry you are not loosing any messages.

Try to delete all INI files (it wont hurt your messages, only the setting get default)

When the 2 hand come form the pda side (during reboot)
Press CTRL+Shift+I

Enjoy!

U can manualy "backup" your mails by copy c:/system/mail folder, or D:/system/mail

Keep on mind u cant copy back your mails after a format into c:/sytem/mail, because it shows u its already in use. In this case copy back ur backup into d:/system/mail and set ur commy to use message storage in your commy's memory card.

Enjoy!

Aji,

Perhaps this may help you. I came across a program called SMS Journal written by a German Professor. You can get it Here. (http://www.karsten-seiferlin.de/html/communicator_software.html)

What it basically does is to read your backed up Mail Database and export the mails to outlook or somthing. There are other syncronisation programs but either they are not free or they won't solve your problem.

I would have posted the program here, but wasn't sure of the rules and didn't want to get on the wrong side of moderators. Good Luck

iv tried this one but thanks anyway. there are so many files in the d:/system/mail. what i want is the exact location of "draft folder" in the d:/system/mail.

wen i copy back the mails into my d:/system/mail i can copy everything except "index". the problem is in the "index". but if i dont copy the index i wont be able to see the contents of the other folders...

First turn to use ur message storage at C:, in this case the D/system/mail wont be used....
Copy into d: the Index files, and switch back the storage back to d:
