NGage Service Manual

i'm trying to get my hands on the ngage service manual and i can't find it anywhere. the only place i've seen a link for it was at www.freegsmteam.com but the link was always disabled. and now they've completely disabled the free access to their site! :sad:

i'd appreciate it if someone could post it here or let me know where to get it.

what do ya mean by service manual??? as in the manual you got with it?? or somethin different?

i believe its supposed to be a manual internal to nokia technical service. it gives repair hints, disassembly information, and some other tech stuff.

the reason i'm looking for the manual is because i plan to mod my phone with blue leds, replacing the ugly orange ones. i just want a look at the manual before i go destroying my phone. :lol:

Dont mod the phone just yet. I purchased a flashing blue keypad off of eBay. Its not a real flashing keypad though. Its a very thing sheet sort of material with all the normal circuit board connections. Theres quite a few very bright LED's on it (Blue) and when you receive a call, make one, send a message, receive one etc, they all start flashing in sequence.

is there not some way to disable the orange phone ones and then modify the circuit of the keypad so that the blue LED's come on like exactly the same way as normal? Ie, not flashing and not just when getting a call etc.

Could you also not try and find very small blue glass/plastic caps and glue or stick them over the top to give off blue light instead of orange?

interesting ideas, but your idea with the flashing keypad sounds much more complicated! :)
anyway, part of the fun for me is the risk of damaging the phone. ;)

it's pretty unlikely that i will trash it, but it could happen. i've modded the leds on a few of my older phones, so i'm not worried. i'm actually planning on stealing the leds off an old flashing keypad i have too. :-P

but i do want a look at the service manual anyway! doesn't anyone have it? :sad:
