Hi all,
I am wondering if anyone else has had or is having this problem:
When I turn my phone off, remove the mmc, put it into the pc to copy data off etc and then put it back in, power the phone on - it seems to lose the theme / background / menu layout.
Even if I only turn the phone off, remove the mmc, put it back in and then turn the phone back on, it loses my personal settings...
I know if I was to turn the phone on without the mmc it would do this, but I am not turning the phone back on without the mmc in!!!
Thanks for reading.

Yes it does happen to me also. I have a worst experience when all my inbox messages in the mmc was lost for no reason at all, that is why now I set the save messages to phone memory. I think it is a bug on v 3.42.1 s/w version, wherein the mmc files are being corrupted.
There is a solution to recover lost files in your mmc, but not always effective:
1. Put your mmc in your card reader.
2. Open your PC's Scandisk application.
3. Select your MMC drive letter and run Scandisk.
4. The Scandisk will repair bad files in your mmc.
5. Remove mmc from card reader and insert it in your phone, check if the missing files have been restored. (50-60% chance that files are recovered)
This is just a temporary solution, you will again lose files some other time. To be safe, use phone memory to save your inbox messages and as much as possible, install apps and s/w in phone memory too. The ultimate solution: UPGRADE YOUR 6600 TO A HIGHER FIRMWARE VERSION.
