I have been having problems connecting my 6600 to other phones(Sharp) via the infrared. I know the infrared works cause I connected to PDA. Has anyone else experianced problems with their Irda :-?

ive managed to conect my 3650 to a 7250i but couldnt send anything, not even pics. i think i read somewhere that the irda or bluetooth (cant remember which) was locked to sendin certain files??? maybe its also locked for certain devices too

lol might just be my imagination but hey???

Are there no workarounds for this problem on series 60 end? like some application to make the IR issue work w/ series 40 phones like 7250..

thanks. :)

Well, Series 40 phones can receive stuff thru IR using the PC suite. What this means is that the PC suite is acting as an interpreter and translating the files in some form that Series 40 phones can receive via IR. Can't we have such an application for Series 60 phones, so that we can send to Series 40 directly via IR? This really pisses me off, because most of my friends own Series 40 devices. They just haven't realised the value ofa Series 60 device yet
