A few 3650 Questions

First one, I recently installed an instant messenger program on my phone, Agile Messenger. It decided to screw up after a few hours and now it seemed to have messed with some other important files on the phone. I have tried uninstalling it to no avail, it keeps getting an error when it tries.

My question is, what is the best course of action now? Should I format the phone? Is this perhaps a virus for the Symbian OS causing this? If it is, how should I get rid of it? Is there such thing as a virus scanner for these things?

I wouldn't have any qualms about formatting, but I need to back up first via my bluetooth adapted, but I seem to have misplaced the software for it to run on this comp for the moment, so formatting is out of the question atm.

The bluetooth usb adapted I have for pc's, I've had for a while, I bought it off ebay from a company called b2b iConnect. Would anyone happen to know what this type of bluetooth adapter is called and if they know of any software I could download for it if it's available as I need it at the moment.

Last question, is there a program or anything to get shockwave/flash movies to play on the 3650?

about agile messenger... i dont think its a virus... at least it couldnt have come with agile. its a well known app and im using it too. have u tried deleting the agile folder? ull need seleq or fexplorer to do that btw.

for ur bluetooth dongle u should download the widcomm software. it comes with just about any bt dongle and it should work on all as far as i know. actually i dont even know of any other bt-softwares.
(note: if the version u try doesnt work try a newer/older version)

to play flash on ur mobile ull need mobiclip as this is the only software that can do that at the mo (it cant play shockwave).

i dont really know whats happening to this company now. i think they are going to update so when u convert a file it MIGHT not work coz i think they are going to make a payable version. im not sure tho. u can visit theyr website here: www.mobiclip.com

the converter for .mo files should be here: www.aivanet.com ull need both the converter for ur pc and the player for ur mobile.

Ah, I knew I forgot to say something. Basically, I do have the FExplorer, and I've tried deleting and uninstalling the program, but it gets an error and refuses to delete or uninstall anything. I'll take your advice and try that though, a backup then a format should do the trick, next time I'll install the messenger on the phone memory so if I format, I don't loose anything

it might be because something to do with agile messenger is still running in the background???

im usin it on my 3650, instaleld on the mmc and its fine

When I tried to start up the program, it comes up with the error "\system\apps\Agil System error" I know it is this program scewing it up as I used to have an mp3 player on it which started getting errors, so I deinstalled it first, thinking that the mp3 player was the problem in the error of Agile. Unfortunately it wasn't.

When I try to deinstall the messenger though, it goes through normal procedure until I hit "Yes" to uninstall it. Then I get the error "Installer: System error", I hit "OK" and it goes to the bar titled "Installation that remains empty, so I hit cancel and I get "Remove failed" then it goes back to the empty installation bar until I hit cancel again to which it exits out of the Manager in Tools.

I've tried using the FExplorer to remove it manually, to no avail. I can't enter the folder it's in cause it gives me a "FExplorer: System error" and when I try to remove the folder, it gives the same error, the screen goes red, then FExplorer closes. I have no idea what to do other then backup and format.

Also, I went to widcomm's site and I can't find an option to download it, there isn't even a place to purchase it, it just goes on about how cool it is and what it can do, and leaves it at that.

i get that error message when i uninstall some programs that are still running in the background, try restarting your phone and holding the pencil key down when you see the nokia logo right up untill you get to the stand by mode then try and uninstall it from the manager in tools.

the pencil key starts your phone up without anything running int he background (think someone called it safe mode or something)

or try reinstalling, then choose to install to fone, then delete from fone manager.

Yeah, I tried putting it into "safe mode" but that didn't seem to change anything. I would try reinstalling it over then uninstalling, but I can't download the program directly onto the phone and have to do it via infrared or bluetooth. Considering I only have a bluetooth dongle thing and no infrared port on this comp, I need the software before hand...

Anyone know where to get some software for it?

just do a search on the manufacturers website for the drivers and use PC suite or somethin. if you dont know the make, then have a look for a model number and just search on google, chances are something will come up???

Okay, I managed to get the appropriate software for bluetooth and it's working BUT the Nokia PC Suite doesn't detect the bluetooth connection for some reason. I have the mRouter up, running and the right port selected but when it connects to the PC, the mRouter's status puts it under "Connecting" But it never does connect.

u dun need to use pc suite to send the file. try right click, send to, via bluetooth on ur pc.

I'm not trying to send a file to my phone. I'm trying to get a file off it, more to the point, get a whole directory off it. Unfortunately the FExplorer cant send directories and doesn't have the option of sending multiple files.

try seleq. it can do more stuff and i think it can send multipile files... at least it can move many files at a time.
