Help with DVD 2 Phone please :)

Hey all, could anyone point me to which software I need to send a DVD disk film to PC then convert on PC to phone compatible, if you know what I mean :oops:
Ill share my DVDs on mIRC I havent got lots but some.

OK TO PUT DVD ON PC
use DVDX to convert to AVI.
Convert now with either Helix Producer Plus or Nokia multimedia converter.
NOKIA MM is free download when you register at Nokia.com
Nokia is easiest and quick, but you will get better results from Helix.

Let me know if you have any problems.

I'm gettin 3 error when I try opening DVD root on DVDx..

1.. auth.dll:Can't authenticate drive Disk may not be locked
2.. Unable to read from "J:\VIEDO_TS\vts_01_1.vob
3.. MPEG2Dec: Error during decoder initialisation

I'm using DVDx 2.2, its not complaible with my PC or somthing? Any similar programs? lol im lost now..

You can try Movie Jack 3, i find this a little bit intimidating to use, just so many options and things. Or you could also try DVDSHRINK to put the DVD on your hard drive in dvd form.

ulead DVD Movie Factory might let you turn into VCD mpeg file.
Or I think Hero DVD player does about 20 things, I think this one lets you pinch bits of a DVD and make screen savers for PC aswell.

Also I'm no good with Divx but that might do unencrypted DVDs.

use No.1 DVD ripper. very easy to use. just select what chapters to rip and rip them to .avi i think.

i used this to rip off aload of the animatrix and converted it to 3gp with PV Author

I've seen lots of recommendations for programs to use, but can anybody point me to a step by step tutorial for conversion :-P (not in the religious sense)

Why convert to .3gp?
Just convert to DivX and watch it with Smartmovie on your phone, in widescreen and perfect quality!


Use Virtual dub to adjust the .avi or .mpg file you've ripped from the dvd.
And use the smartmovie converter to get it in the smartmovie format.

A complete movie (1,5 to 2 hours) is around 100 to 120 MB
But in great quality!

if u got a movie with such a big filesize u converted it TOTALY wrong... i got scary movie 3 to 60mb... not really eye candy but much better than 3gp. it was decent and fully watchable! if it gets around 100mb its good quality.... if it gets 260mb then its way too good quality and the movie will lag as hell!! use lover bitrate and lower fps.

ahh I change it from divx to xvid and now its converted to 68mb :D

i have just downloaded #1 Dvd ripper and i think it's cool. but i have a problem, it only converts up to 50% of the movie because its needs to be registered. any keyegn or serial pls? the version is 1.3.26.

i dont know why people ask for cracks to be honest. if they did a quick 2 minute search on google instead of wastin that time typin up a post on here for someone to send it them they'd find what they were lookin for
