... or even: will there ever be for this phone? Maybe some technical reason why this phone can't be "opened"?

Not much around on the net right now because this phone hit the stores just some days ago. It's a cutie for those that don't like the clamshell design (it's a slider like the Nokia 7650).

Technically, there are rumors about the TM100 being a modified GX20. Alas, the TM100 doesn't matter about the GXxx codes beginning with *01763*! Can anyone imagine what 01763 could mean? (Hey, I'm not asking 'bout code, I think I'm in line with forum rules... )

Any chance there'll be a TM100 Firmware around so one can look up the codes? (and for personal interest: I saw Gxx are crypted? Which algo do they use?).

Thanks for replying.

Specifications (http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=507) and pictures (http://www.threegmobile.net/main/index.php?lang=ENG&option=news_detail&nid=356&page=2) of the new Sharp TM-100.

"SOF" for software was the Hint I was looking for!

Too bad those codes won't work on this Sharp :-(

Some Information you won't find on the net yet:

Display is 240x320 with 260k colors, Java can use 240x260 of this area with 65k colors. You can switch the phone into a 120x130 Mode for java midlets that won't support higher resolutions. Pixels are not just doubled in this mode, but also blurred which works just fine. Sadly this can't be set on a per-midlet-basis and has to be configured every time you change between highres and lowres apps. But who wants those lowres apps with sharp displays anyway? :-)

No down/upload of midlets via IrDA. Contacts, SMS, pictures and video down/upload is working. Software delivered with the phone is an OEMed "Handset Manager".
Midlets are not just used as Game/App, but also as screensaver. None of these preinstalled.

If I just could get my hands on the firmware ;)
