MC60 Unlock and IMEI Changer

Hey All,

I've got a MC60 that I want to unlock and change, most of the software I have tried (including Friea) won't boot it though, I'm running software version 10. I have a non-original cable.

any tips?

Well I found a tutorial at:

it seems to be working, I managed to get Friea to boot my mobile after running this tutorial, in the process of backing it up now.. just in case. I will let you know how it goes.

well that didn't work either.. I can't change the original IMEI as it is locked.. and it won't unlock it.

any ideas?

such as? I'm new to this, I've mainly done nokias in the past and they are dead easy.

does anyone have a program that will basically force the image on to the phone, I've got a fls backup of my phone, but that is pretty useless when friea 10 and several other pieces of software can't get the stupid thing to boot.

I'm getting a "wrong software" message up when I try and turn the phone on and it just won't boot.. bizarre

to repair your phone use TP, Freia 10, Eeprom+ firmware for another good phone

flash them into phone.
make unlock (direct unlock no map is saved with use original IMEI option) and youir phone will be alive again.


for pictures...u can use siemens data suite from their site...and C55 data cable

I assume TP stands for test point, where can I find some information on doing this?

test point is same as for nre V11 M55's

yes but this will only work if you can get the phone to boot in the first place, mine just says wrong software. can't get friea to boot it either.

Write the original imei back to phone, this should cure wrong software.

I don't think you get it do you. I can't write anything to the phone, it won't boot via cable, it won't boot by itself IT DOESN'T BOOT.

What I need to know is where exactly the test point cut is so I can at least change the IMEI and patch the rest.
