All expert here please help me .... :(
i have 6600 phone , first i add in seleQ application , ir remote for tv , n games mosquito (not anti mosquito) that's ok .. then after 1 one day , adding some games like bounce , rockoban .,. n i'm not sure when the trouble comes into my phone , now . when i send the sms via phones , or via infra red , n via blue tooth , my phones keep silent , no alert for sms coming .. i try to set the alert message from profile ... with tones .., but my phone still no alert tones .. only the sign "letter" only . no sound .. why ?
help please all expert here .. how to fix it ?

1. Have you changed the Profile? (This is not a cheeky question)

2. I don't trust this prog/game rockoban. I have installed everything else you have listed and I never got a problem. Try uninstalling this "rockoban"

for some reason, vibration wun work in silent... u tried other profiles?

polyphonic tones haf to b in the sounds/digital folder.

or try recording a silent tone, then set the tone as ringtone, so no sound can b heard and vibration is there.

yeah, i already change the profile .. but the sms alert still silent .. no sound at all .. but when incoming call .. the ringing tones available no matter , only in sms alert my phone cannot ring... no alert tones.. pls help .. what's wrong with my sms alert ? pls.. :(

Have you tried uninstalling rockoban yet?

have you tried restarting your phone?
this kind of stuff happens when the media server encounters an error and closes. no media would come out from your phone. even if you try to play a media file, no sound would come out.

if there is still an error after you restart your phone, then the onlyway to fix this is by reformatting your handy phone... sorry

Don't worry it's happened to me too. The only solution i found out was to take out the MMC, start the phone, then shut it down, then put the MMC back in and turn the phone on again. That seems to fix it. I don't know why it happens though.

Or format your fone... *#7370# or holding the green dial key, button 3 and the * button while turning the phone ON!!! i find the second way works best.. being aware that you WILL lose all of YOUR information which was stored on the phone memory

NP mate... I'm glad to know that someone else had the same problem as me. I was worried i was the only one with a dud 6600. But i got a new one now, so no problem. Good luck with yours.

well i have also facing this prob. i tried puuling out the MMC n then retsrated the fone, but still no sms alert:(((((((((

well, in that case, hard format ur phone. u jus need to do two things, i mean 3, 1stly, backup ur phone, backup ur contacts and finally reset.

definitely SHOULD solve any probs....
