im having problems evertime i play mp3's or AAC my shortcut icons are gone. Is there any workaround aside from restarting or backing up my data to mmc? will firmware upgrade fix this? :sad:

Your using an N-Gage, no?

Well when you play MP3s with the N-Gage, you can't access any other files stored on the MMC.

yes im using N-Gage.

after palying MP3 my shortcuts are still gone. i even wait for 5mins for my MMC to refresh but still no icons. i either restart or create a backup to MMC for my icons to appear again.

get another blank mmc card (i stress BLANK and formatted)....insert that in...
re-insert the original one u have...and the symbian file system is refreshed...

i always have to do that when i format my mmc and stick a backup back on...

ps... can confirm it works with version 3.30 and 4.03 (i upgraded this week...wot a dissapointment...except for the radio stability...)

you dont have to insert a BLANK and FORMATTED MMC for the MMC to get refreshed. you just have to turn it off and on again.

doing what i said above will stop the icons disapearing again when you exit from using the music player....
