SMS thru wap ??

i heard one of my frends talk bout sites providing facility for sending free sms thru wap.. is this possible.. does anyone know bout such a site.. pls inform if so.. i got to see a similar feature in rediff.com thru wap but couldn't fully understand it.. pls guide further if anyone knows..

I'm not too sure if sending SMS will be free, seeing that GPRS costs per kb in Australia

i think u dont get me.. i meant that among all the wapsites available providing free stuf and other similar things, there must be some providing us to send FREE SMS to a certain cell number. so if anyone gets to know about such a site, pls do inform me.. thanx anyways..
