i think it's time to sell my 6600, i just found a phone that fills in all the gaps of the 6600. wifi, and qwerty board. biggerscreen. faster processor 'well supposedly 200mhz' hopefully that will be enough.

this i think ya'll is the 6600 killer :-o

above is a link to the pics for the new phone. it's being dubbed a smartphone, but running a full pocket pc OS.

wadya think?

whoa, the fone is amazing... flip either horizontal or vertical...

but i dun tink 6600 will lose its crowd yet... symbian fones still are better in my opinion.

personally, i haven tried a windows smart fone yet too.

and oh, the fone looks real big...

Is that the right name ? i heard it was MPX only..

Some screens for the phone:

It's not really big...seems to me that it's smaller than 6600 when it's folded.

Im not sure...i think it will not run full pocket pc WM OS but it will run on a new version of smartphone WM OS.

Well...i own I-Mate Smartphone 2 and i think it doesn't have much games and applications like nokia symbian phone has.

*EDIT*

Oh my...i think it will have the same WM OS as the Pocket PC's has:

Exclusive Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition Screenshots:

Microsoft provided a preview to the latest Windows Mobile version, now called Windows Mobile Second Edition and Arne Hess over at PPCW.net got actual screenshots!? The major enhancement for the Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition which is based on Windows CE.Net 4.x is the improvements on the display.

Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition for Pocket PC supports portrait, landscape and square modes. The user can switch between portrait and landscape on the fly. Not all devices will support switching between modes, i.e. landscape-only, portrait-only or square-only devices are possible.

wow, damn cool! unique features of using the phone horizontal or vertically. damn cool...

however tzeonn is rite. 6600 still will not really lose out to this sweetie. 6600, S60 phones have far more apps and games compared to pocket pc OS. its like a power phone but no one is utilising it. therefore no pt.

unless pocket pc OS proved me wrong n more developers are doing more software and apps, it will be furtile to get this phone. (sure it wun come cheap!)

How on earth are you meant to use them keys!

It seems like the dark buttons are used when you open the phone vertical and the bright button are used when you open the phone horizonal.

Odd buttons style..

i'm digging the qwerty key and wifi setup the most. oh yeah and the 320x240 screen. my only concern is cpu... i think they're scaling it back to 200mhz for battery life.. and may run on a texas-cpu. oh yeah it might be around $900..00 time to start that collage fund i've been planning for my newborn kid

i have a ton of apps for my pocket pc that i sold to my friend. i'd say there are just as many apps if not more for the pocket pc vs s60. i mainly peruse www.handango.com which is a central hub for apps in the usa. ;)

personallly, i would love the smartphone as its capable of playing mp3s and has quite a handful of games. Graphics are excellent to as compare to the ones on my symbian.

symbian would be more of a fun fone for its applications like ir remote, photo editing... ahem..n-gaged games...

for organising... the smartphone comes with data cable, thus easier to sync with yer com for contacts and emails and more.
with notbad notepad....

so it actually boils down to what u prefer.... for work or play.

Personally, I think Windows based smartphones e.g. motorola mpx200 is not advisable to be bought. I don't really recommend it to anyone. Whereas Windows PocketPC + phones eg O2 XDAII is the one that should be bought by anyone who wants a small computer and a handphone where ever they go. And trust me, these PDAs are a hell lot of fun!!!

Btw, its better if you by the PDA separately from the phone... but looking at the mpx300, its ok and I dont really favour Qwerty keyboards, try it yourself and you'll find out why.

And Symbian are not comparable to the PocketPCs... the PPCs are much, much better.
