1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is not locked to,
and turn it back on.
2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up
telling you to press exit, so hit the right softkey. Choose "malloc fail".
Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.
3. Let the phone say the name of the service provider of the Sim Card (Such
as AT&T Wireless, or T-Mobile)
4. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your
phone is personalized.
5. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other than the one that is in
it. Power back up your phone.
6. At the SIM code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeroes.

I'm very new to this site and Itrying to find answers to unlocking my
samsung x427 and I use a pay as you go card by cingular.
I don't know how to read some of the answers to the posts is that possible? I read a post and it says that it has (blank) replys or posts and no way to get there - Help please?
Also I found a few numbers to unlock and some say software is needed and the last one gave me a step by step but a reply said it didn't work - Does any have a answer?

I followed the instructions EXACTLY and they worked fine; I was able to install & use an AT&T Wireless SIM. I was surprised that the browser settings are in the phone rather than the SIM.

Maybe the problems some people are having trying and failing to unlock is that they're using only one SIM card, because it happend to me once with one SIM, but after that I used two different SIMs from the same company and it worked. I'm just guessing here.

Thanks for the instructions.

check my signaure for more details.

hope it works, but latest versions of most models are already fixed

Hi guys, I haven't tried this but in the Nokiafree calculator 3.10, at the end of the instructions it says:

Model: Samsung SGH-E715

Turn off the phone. Put a non-accepted SIM Card and turn it on. Type *#9998*3323#. Press Exit. Choose menu #7. After phone reboots type *0141# and hit the Call button. Turn off and insert another SIM Card. Turn on. The code is 00000000.

In newer phones:
#*7337#

Unfortunately the instructions aren't very clear. I don't know if they mean to substitute #*7337# for *#9998*3323# or just part of the numbers. Like maybe #*7337*3323# or #9998*7337#. Only getting 5 tries really sucks here. Some people were asking about the E400 and it also says to use #*7337# for newer models. Maybe you could try that. Hope this helps.

Crux
19-10-2004, 01:05 PM
that means that in newer ersions u only need to put code #*7337# and nothing else at all ;)

Seems like that phone is locked to that particular sim card, and not even another sim card from the same company will work. Have anyone tried repeating the same procedure in the original post, with a different network sim. Even if you don't know the passwork, maybe you can get it to link/lock to the sim of the other network by repeating the whole process.

I cannot repeat this myself, since I only have two virginmobile sims and the "wrong sim" message won't come up on the same company's sim.

nachochilli
03-02-2005, 09:27 PM
like many previous posters, I was able to unlock my ebay's v200 from O2 to virgin mobile, using the code in the original post " #9998*3323# and malloc fail ", but the unlocking would be temporary until the next time you switched on the phone. To make the unlocking permanent, I had to use the 2nd code *0141#, the phone is now linked and locked and "personalized" to one specific virginmobile sim with an unknown Sim Lock. I never entered the sim lock password, and the factory defaults of 0000 or 00000000 won't work. I don't want this current phone number, and I cannot use my 2nd virginmobile sim as the OP suggested since the sim lock password is missing.

afraid to use any more codes since previous posters have killed their phones doing so. anyone know if I can cancel personalization using this? #0111*code# for the samsung v200? I don't have any other network's sim to try the whole process again.

nachochilli
04-02-2005, 12:33 AM
Problem solved!!! My original problem as stated in the above 2 posts. Unlocking using the Original Poster's codes worked beautifully, except that in the UK, O2's newer phones have a customized IMEI with the O2 name in it. They even changed samsung's default reset code, so not even the samsung people could help me, and naturally, O2 wants to charge me for the info. When I made the unlock permanent by personalizing it using the *0141#, O2's phone defaulted back to their secret sim lock. And what's that? Instead of typing the default password of four zeros, or eight zeros, replace the zero's with fives. Simple, elegant, no-need-for-cables-solution, yet took me a whole day searching the net, seen dozens of other people asking the same thing, and the answer was right there on the O2's sim leaflet. Now I can enjoy my new 2 year old v200!!!!!

It seems like the X460 has got a new security programme by RSA, so I seriously don't think there is any way a code generator will be able to help in this case.

I've got the same phone and unfortunately, no matter what I tried did not give me any delight.

Hopefully someone out there has cracked the new security programming which most newer models of phone are adopting.

Hi All:

I used the procedure at the begining of this thread to unlock a samsug sgh-x105 without any problems. This is useful because I have T-Mobile normal account and a Cingular pay-as-u-go account and it is handy to have some unlocked phones around.

I also used the free Nokia Code generator to unlock a Nokia 6010 locked to T-Mobile.

I have a T-Mobile sgh-E105 which did not unlock using the information in this thread.

Thanks for posting because I did a search on unlocking both the E105 and the X105 and received no results, but, when I opened the forum this thread, "Unlock all Samsung phone" was right there!

Hope everyone has as much luck on this forum as I did.

Well, my fone is "NOT LOCKED" and is working fine in my country, with all operators, No issues with that.

My problem is that when i go to the "FUNBOX" instead of "WAP BROWSER" there's a "t-zone" written. When i try to use it, it tries to connect to T-zone (and i am not in UK anyways) .. so what to do? if i ask my Operator to send me settings via (over-the air) will it work? or not? or is there anyway i can remove this T-zone stuff, (On and OFF also shows T-mobile written) somehow?

I'll b thankful

PS: I got a datacable, which when used with Samsung EasyGPRS can transfer only pictures OR ringtones. I'd also appreciate if anyone can guide me to any SAMSUNG-ONLY forums where i can get further help!

You can call T-Mobile to provide unlock code for your Samsung T509. They provided me the unlock code and the instructions below.
==========================================
Unlock Code: 05659370
Enter: #7465625*638*Unlock Code#

NOTE: If you receive an error message while performing the instructions below, stop. Please be aware that if an excessive amount of incorrect attempts are made, the phone will be permanently locked. Verify the IMEI by pressing *#06# and submit a new request. It is very important that the instructions are entered correctly as listed. For Unlock code you will enter the 8 digit code that we have provided you.

NOTE: Network Personalization Cancelled should display once unlocked. "Not Yet Personalized" will be displayed if it has already been unlocked.

Mr. jocoolguy,

If I were a smart moderator, I could have known the reason why U keep putting Ur links in post from several years ago.

But I'm blonde and therefore I think U must help me out here, could U explain to me the reason why I feel this urge to ban U from this forum?

TnX in advance;

NokDoc
