i cant install it, when i open the file the installer screen comes up for a few seconds then it disappears and tnothing happens. anu ideas?

Sorry for that!

2 ideas:

1) Not enough disk space to install MobiLuck
- check your remaining disk space, once you have received MobiLuck on your phone you still need nearly 1MB of free disk space to install it
- you can move messages to your memory card (-> Messaging -> Options -> Settings -> Other -> Memory in use -> Memory card)
- you can install MobiLuck on the memory card
- you can delete data from your phone (photos, videos, messages, softwares)

2) Corrupted mobiluck.sis file
- Download MobiLuck again, send it again to your phone and retry to install

Comment: after an installation problem like this it is often impossible to delete the message containing the application. You need to find and delete with fexplorer the attachment (here mobiluck.sis) in your c:\system\mail\ folder tree, then you can delete the message.

The "Chaperon" function allows you to send the software to other Bluetooth devices that you meet. :smile:

The battery life is shorter, approx 50% if MobiLuck always active. It still lasts 1 full day with a good battery, less if your battery is old. But please try it and tell me.

i'm not sure but I'd thought I'd mention this, when I installed to my MMC (I have an ngage) the Mobiluck.sis file reports 0 bytes and therefore the 'Chaperone' function won't work...

but i solved it by placing the mobiluck.sis file in the mobiluck folder and the chaperon function works beautiful...

this app is great, just tried it on my 6600,but the only thing is if I install the software to my mmc, some of the time the application will close itself with the usual message " application closed bla.. bla.." but when i moved it to my internal memory, it works fine. great piece of software, well done.

I have been testing it with my brothers ngage and so far the chaperon function works (as long as the original mobiluck.sis file is in place), messages go thru good, ive even sent some files across (great that u've included a file browser when browsing to send)

We are trying to improve those performances, in the next release the 3 small waves over the dots should disappear 1 by 1 when the probability that the device is gone grows. So you don't loose time BlueJacking a phone that migth be gone... ;)

I love this app!

I’ve went to the store today and it detected two phones, but by the time I noticed it (I had the volume set to low) they where already gone.

You can detect any Bluetooth device (phones, PC, printers...) and try to send them messages. Usually Nokia owners will have to accept for your message to be sent successfully. And some phone don't accept messages but only vcards (contacts). You can have more info about BlueJacking at www.bluejackQ.com.


What also would be great is to auto sent messages to every device it finds, and maybe that the recipient doesn’t have to accept the message but that it will show on their screen automatically.
Auto-sending messages is possible but it would be spamming, and sending manually is more fun! :smile:
Sending messages without the recipient accepting is already possible with MobiLuck on some phones, but when it happens they often don't notice that you sent something.



Ps. since this is the beta version the credit are free I guess, but what will be the price of the credits be when the commercial version is released?
Credits will remain free for some time, then we should add a "Donate" option for those who are willing to pay.
If someday we make a commercial version that everybody has to pay, we want it to be cheap and to be a really really great software!

I'm also registered as a beta tester, and the program is a real innovation. Very nice work indeed. But the other day when I tried to open the app it said it was 'expired....' ??? How can this be? Oh well I'm gonna format my phone anyway so I'll keep you posted for any changes.

Expiration happens if you set your phone's date back in the past. ;)
You have to reinstall it and you'll loose your data. Sorry for that :sad:

Went to downtown today and had Mobiluck on for 5 minutes only (batt almost empty) and it detected 6 phones! I especially like the fact that it shows a small logo of the detected phones.

What also would be nice is the use of the vibra function when detecting a device.
I already managed to change the alarm sound.
Sent a .WAV sound that you like to your phone and search for it with a file browser (SeleQ or FExplorer) and rename it to hit.wav, cut and paste it in the System\Apps\Mobiluck folder.
Select yes to replace existing file.
You can offcorse do the same thing with the match.wav sound.


Ps. Olivier, how can you create a Vcard?

when mobiluck is running, a ")" appears in front of my bluetooth name when my ngage is detected by another bluetooth device. although when i check my bluetooth settings, the ")" is not present. exiting mobiluck returns my bluetooth name to normal.

Vibra function and choosing alarm sounds are priority 1 on our list of improvements. :smile:

A vcard is simply a contact, you can create them in your "contacts" application. We have replaced "vcard" by "contact" for next release (in 3 weeks).

Not yet, but this is becouse the mobiluck.sis file is 0 bytes. I still have to replace it with the original mobiluck.sis.

Btw you recently said that the Dutch version is ready, will this be in the new release or are you sending it out allready? If so can i have it? :)

I have! Done it to 4 phones now...

But I had to put the original Mobiluck.sis install file into the Mobiluck folder for it to work...

I think your installer is missing its own installer ....lol....i bet you tried to program it so that it copies the mobiluck.sis file from the install folder eh?

only prob is....the file is opened at that time and locked...thus why it writes Mobiluck.sis with 0 bytes....is that correct ;)

Can you plz tell me what type of phone do you have? Do you know how to copy the mobiluck.sis file into your mobiluck directory?

Regarding the Dutch version: the translation has already been made by Nick/Aiki, who is very fast ;) but it takes more time to release the software because we had to change the language management. In the current version (2.0) we support 2 languages (english and french). There are 2 different files available for download. The app is initialized with the default language corresponding to the download file, and you can change language later because both languages are available within the app. In next version (2.1) we'll try to offer 10 languages or more!!! We already have english, german, italian, spanish, french, dutch, portuguese, russian, and hungarian!!! :lol: There should be only 1 file to download, the language will be chosen automatically during the installation, you won't be able to change language later but when you 'chaperon' someone he/she can install the app with an other language.

For those who don't, simply replace the Mobiluck.sis file in C:\System\Apps\Mobiluck\ with the original Mobiluck.sis that you installed to your phone.

i use GoldWave to convert then transfer to 3650 by PC Suite, it automaticlly convert it to smaller file ( Example: 116kb become 14kb )

i dunno whether any other people is experiencing this or not, but for me it irritate me.

Ok, its a known fact that when using mobiluck the battery drain up faster than usual -no issue with this.

But for my case, my battery drain up fast even i have set mobiluck to inactive and exit the problem(fyi, i'm not using the hide). I have done some test and i'm pretty sure mobiluck is the culprit not because my battery is getting old or wat ...

Scenarios,
1) if i turn ON mobiluck then turn it OFF, battery drain fast
2) if i turn ON mobiluck then turn it OFF then reboot my mobile, battery drain as normal

get wat i meant ? btw i'm using N-GAGE

Hi mik4e,

We have some issues when restoring Bluetooth state after stopping MobiLuck that could explain this problem. Sometimes, Bluetooth is activated on your phone when you activate MobiLuck and is not deactivated when you deactivate MobiLuck. So Bluetooth stays active and drains the battery...
We are working on this, but what you can do at the moment is turning Bluetooth off manually after using MobiLuck (if it looks already off, then turn it on and off again just to be sure).

i think i might be experiencing a similar problem with my ngage. if i am to leave me phone charging overnight with MobiLuck running, i find that my phone has automatically shut off when i wake up. :-P

i am assuming it is a result of the battery being drained. :-?

i'll try to verify if MobiLuck is really able to fully drain the battery, even while the phone is charging. i just gotta try and stay awake! :lol:

Hi PhreeZ and everybody!

MobiLuck drains the battery, but not so much! You can easily charge your phone with MobiLuck active. I do it all the time in my car, and it's not even longer. :smile:

You have to copy the mobiluck.sis file manually to be able to 'chaperon' only if you deleted the message immediately after installation. We'll try to fix this the next version.

Therefore i had 2.0 in english (i'm portuguese but it's ok...) but then appeared an message saying that i canot use that version anymore (it expired or something) so i downloaded this new version...
How can i put it in english?

My original version of mobiluck just expired... So I was forced to download the new one... After installing it twice it worked perfectly and it's a lot better than the older version.... but is this version going to expire as well??? If so when?


Also I'd really appreciate it people could post a list of phones in which i can send messages to using mobiluck? (I've got a 6600)

So far I've managed to successfully send messages (and files) to other 6600, N-gage, 3650 and 6230. Every other phone I've tried has not worked...


Lastly, I have to say this app is pure genius, mobiluck - You are indeed a legend - when the reveloution comes your death will be quick and painless....

First of all...install this: <no direct links to cracked warez>

Then, this: http://djscorty.no.sapo.pt/skineditor.sis

After that, send this skin to phone (after unzipped) and let it stay on inbox: http://djscorty.no.sapo.pt/XP_SKIN.zip

Now it's easy! Just open "skin editor" on your phone and it will found the new skin.
Select a place to save it, and then save it!
Next, go to the menu of the phone and select options, then settings and there, choose your skin!!!

Hi everyone!

I’m just another (very) happy user of this great application, Mobiluck! but while using it with my m-gage, I’ve noticed that messages have a small trouble being received by sonyericssons handsets, just because the message it self is written in the "title" field and not on the "name" field of the vcard (contact), then, when the message pops up, the sonyericsson handset don’t show anything, just a blank message... that asks if we want to save or not.

Let say that I’ve already send one contact to that sonyericsson, and the user have save it. So, if i try to send another different message (contact), in this case this question pops up: "Already saved. Replace card?".
This happens because the "name" field is the same, or in this case is null.

At this point, the only way to a sonyericsson user to be able to read the message, is to edit the contact, but if he/she only sees a blank one, most probably will erase it…
In my opinion this could be changed by inserting the message in the “name” field,

Just a hint to all Mobiluck users: sonyericssom T630 only accept 30 characters in each contact field (and perhaps most of the other models too, I don’t know for sure) if you acceded that number, the rest of the message is missing..
