possible to run p800 on 6600

Would it be possible to run application for the p800/900 on the 6600?

I mean,the p800 is running the s 7.0.
Or am i wrong?
Do ya hav to change resoultion?

I want to know it for this ESCUMM.
It would be really cool to hav this for the 6600 or every other s60.
Its opensource by the way. so is there anyone who could convert it?

2) No, u cant use the apps from p900 on 6600, unless u get the source code and port it to 6600.

Most developers will release a version for each fone, so you could try looking on their site to see if they released a version for your 6600.

just read on the symbian HP that UIQ is running on the symbian s7.0 platform..
im now wondering if theres only a difference in the resolution??

yeah of course. if u compare the 2 u will clearly se that p800/p900 has a much bigger screen than s60.

Also, its touchscreen, so your softkeys wouldn't come up as buttons in the app.

ok but i think that should not be a problem because that are really old games.

also i tried to install a p800 sis, it wirked fine and the icon appears but when i wanted to start the programm closed, what a wonder:P

do u know anything about programing?? coz if u dont know anything about programing then u might as well just give up already. porting is not an easy task. and u need to know programing to do it. its not just a simple convertion with changing the resolution or somthing.
