IMEI lock

A mate just gave me a 7250i and it says that the handset is blocked, now I imagine they block the IMEI on the network so you can't use it, is there any way to change the IMEI number to the same as my old phone so I can use the new one?

Yeah i agree with Sergo_Zmeia
you will need to repace the UEM chip on the fone and reprogram the IMEI
for this you will have to have some Technical Knowlage and skills
and Hardware + software to do so

so do as Sergo_Zmeia says
swap your fone with some other guy in an other country caus the fone will work there
