help unblocking phone

i want to buy my friend's samsung v200 phone, t-mobile blocked it.

how do i unblock it, do i need to change the IMEI or write eprom or something.

please can somebody help giving an example of an IMEI number format.

do you randomally create an IMEI number, what is its format e.g 16 numbers or 444-322-5 etc ?

i have downloaded the Samsung unlocker by cerberos team 1.5 which has a button saying write new imei and a box to enter the code.

i managed to unlock it using the cerbros 1.5 program, i wrote the new imei, but it says you need to reset phone settings once imei changed, but when you choose that it asks for the password, which isnt my sim pin, please can someone help me get past this.

really want to be able to use my new samsung v200 phone.

think the code you gave is to unlock the old v200's if im not mistaken.

i managed to find out the code, it was the default 0000000000, which i didnt know.

still wont unblock though, using the cebros 1.5 i type in an imei number, click change, the program then says to reset settings, i do that but it still says limited service, please can someone help.

is there any other program that can change my imei number or somehow make this work ?
