I have trawled the net looking for an answer to this one, but can't find one. I hope that someone on here can help.

My 9210 has lost the ability to send text messages using the keyboard. When I go to Messages I can open them etc, but when I press the 'Write Short Message' tab nothing happens. I can send messages using the front numbers.

I wondered if I need to do a master reset, but don't know how, or if there was a software upgrade.

Thanks for any help on this one, really appreciate it :D

To hard-reset and format the C: drive of a Nokia 9210, do the following:
Pull the battery out for a few seconds, then replace it. Open the case and wait for the "Nokia 9210" splash screen (with the hands) to be displayed. As soon as it appears, hold down the following three keys for about 2 seconds: Shift, Ctrl and F. A screen appears asking for confirmation that you want to format the device. Select Format. All data on the C: drive will be lost, and the factory default settings will be restored.

I think your Messeging application is corrupt. You may try to remove it and reinstall from the CD that came with the phone. If this didn't work then you may try the Formatting.

Beware you will need to back up your dat either to Memory card or PC. Also getting the Format screen as described is a little tricky. You may need to repeat the process for aobut 10-15 times before you get it. Also Make sure Battery is full. You don't want it to die on you while formatting ! :D

I hat this a time ago but I get the error that the application not can be found.

The problem was that i copy the sms,fax and e-mail to the MMC card and after that I redirect the messing place to the MMC card.
And deleted the data from the default place (exsept the index...)

The solution was to redirect from MMC to commu again and copy the messages back again after this it working again.
