3330 reception probs

hi. i know this may have been already posted but i can't find a good answer to my solution.
i flashed my 3330 and everything works fine except the reception.
it says that it's connecting to the network and shows the 4 bars on the left. but then it quickly goes off again and doesn't come back on again unless i switch the phone off and on.
i have even bought a new antenna and fitted it in. i also have updated the faid after i flashed it and changed the imei back to the original one. can anyone help?

Try to update FAID.

What program are you using to update FAID?
Did the phone get reception OK before flashing?

It is unlikliy to be the antenna... If it is a hardware problem I think you need to replace the antenna switch.

i used noktool18 & rolis tool 1.9.
i don't know whether the phone had the reception working before. i bought it faulty on ebay but the fault was listed as no display. however i fixed that but then found out that it had reception probs.
the owner didn't know about this either

Take your full flashfile and load it up into g3n0lite v2
then click on the kill flashchk button then save the flash file

reflash to your phone

then with the phone off plug in the datacable and the charger but dont turn on your phone
load up nokiatool by rollis (latest version) and read phone info, it should display all the infos of the phone
then click the FAID button and your phone should turn on and work

if not then your problem lies with a hardware fault
it is most probably the PA that is faulty but it can be the antenna switch sometimes

Hi,

Fchk is the Flash Checksum, which is used to calc a valid Faid value for the SetFaid command.

There is no tool that can recalc the Fchk value for 3310-503, 3310-513, 3330-430 and 3330-450 types.

If U wanna use modded files, use the KILL all checks option before U flash.

I tried to explain there is a difference.

Roughly U can say: Fchk + Imei = Faid.
