my girlfriend and i have the same exact phone (3285) with the same carrier (first cellular of southern il.) - but we're on different plans... I have unlimited minutes with no roaming and no long distance outside of the 23 county area, and she has unlimited minutes with 500 nationwide roaming and long distance... I used to work at Alltel/SimpleFreedom as a customer service rep, so im pretty familiar with the activation/programming process in nokia phones... being a slave to my curiosity, i entered the *3001#12345# menu and hers too... the only real differences were the SW. versions, and sid's. if i buy a data cable that will work for these phones, would i be able to update my sw. version with hers? if i change my sids to the same ones she has, would i be able to use my phone while out of my home area? im not sure what my msl is, but i know my spc is 000000. is it possible to set up my phone to use a verizon sid like 190 along with my original w/ls carrier's sid's? thanks:)
