can I use a converted fbus on e700?

hi all , can any one tell me if i can use simple fbus cable on a e700?
I have a few old mbus and fbus cables lying round and also have a couple of a300 connecters which fit the e700, is it poss to just solder the 3 wires from fbus cable on to connector?
i know i could buy a cable but that would be far too easy. :-)

Hi again, i've been searching high and low for this cable schem but can only find this one and was wondering if anyone could tell me if this cable would work on a e700 without modification.
I would be very greatful if anyone 'in the know' could help me please.
