3315 splock

hey iam new to all of this so could somone explain the basics to me?

i have just bought a 3315 and its locked on telstra sim cards what do i have to do to unlock it , i have an mbus cable and i tried to use the nokia tools program to get all those numbers imei number e.t.c but it kept saying phone not connected. Does there have to be a sim card in it for that program to work?

to unlock your phone!
type *#06# on your phones keypad
the number you see is the phones imei number
on this site at the top of the page use the free unlock code calculator
enter your imei and whatever details it needs about your phone
it should give you a list of 7 codes
remove your simcard and switch the phone back on
depending on your phone you should be able to get away with just entering code 7
if it works you should get the message "restriction removed" or something similar.
if you don't then enter codes 1+5 which should work.
when youre done insert new sim.

Do you know how to do it for the Nokia 3210? I've unlocked the LOCK 1 with DCT3 but the LOCK4 stills to unlock.
