hi, this is my first post here and my second visit in total, so appologies if i have posted in the wrong place, if so im sure my post will be moved, just hope i can find it again lol

anyway

my brother has a 3410
something is wrong with it

the display is f*cked

i dont really know how to describe it

its like everything thats normally there is just scrambled and it moves about

at first i thought it might be this new virus but then realised that 1) he doesnt have bluetooth so how would he have got it, 2) it displays the name caribe on the display, which it doesnt, and 3) the info i have read says no-one has been infected yet

then i thought it could be a different virus, but this is apparentky the first

so what the hell is wrong????????

ive also added to the problem by inputting the wrong pin code to switch it on, i kept putting a 0 in instead of an 8 beacuse mine has a 0 and im tired
so now it wants the PUK code, but im not sure if i can get in contact with virgin (yes, hes on virgin! lol) until monday to get it, and he was going to sell it to our gran on sunday

please help me, and if you could somehow provide me with the PUK code id be grateful

his IMEI, if you need it to give me the PUK code is 350889807233731

thankx

If you are saying that it has lines and stuff through the screen here is your solution (http://www.centralpark.net.au/help/3310lcdlines.jpg).

As for the PUK code, Virgin should be able to tell you that. :)

no, it not displaying those symptoms

its scrambling the screen, when its switched on and you havent gone into any menus or anything its just continuely moving around from one scrambled arangement to another, occasionally it goes back to an unscrambled display but then just carries on again

when you start it up and your entering the pin number, it doesnt move about on its own, it moves to the next scambled display with each press of a button

dont worry

i rang virgin up to get the PUK code, luckily i didnt have to wait till monday, lady was nice and friendly
i switched it on and entered it, and everythings was fine, there was no scrambling when i was entering it and none after
seems the solution is to leave it off for 24hrs :o)

thankx anyway brandysarlo
